Nasir al molk mosque ( pink mosque)
Nasir al-Mulk Mosque or Pink Mosque is one of the old mosques of Shiraz.
This building was built by the order of Ali Malabashi nicknamed Nasir al-Mulk, who was from the Malabashion dynasty. Its architecture was the work of Mohammad Hassan Memar.
Description of the building
Nasir al-Molk Mosque is one of the most precious mosques in Iran from the point of view of tiling and from the point of view of construction, especially Moqrans is unique. Its area is 2890 square meters and its infrastructure is 2216 square meters. Colored glass is used in this mosque, for this reason it is also called the Pink Mosque of Iran. The mosque has an entrance at one end and the other two entrances are connected to the southern alley and the mosque and to the imamzadeh next to it. The main entrance of the mosque is made of seven-colored tiles with many decorations of Shiraz lily. This gate has two pillars and each pillar is divided into three parts and on top of it there is a panel with seven colored tiles. The gate is located with a recess. The wooden door of the mosque has a stone frame with slime decorations and a large monolithic stone on it. The arch of five and seven is used on top of the stone frame of a small inscription, which has a stone with Shourideh Shirazi's poem and the date of its construction in Nastaliq script. From the main entrance of the mosque, we enter the vestibule, which takes a 90-degree turn on the left side to a corridor that connects to the courtyard of the mosque. This vestibule is made of bricks, and a tile panel was installed at the entrance of the mosque. And the names of the architects are ready. The yard of this mosque is quadrangular, in the middle of which a pond with length and width of 16.5-4.5 meters is built in front of the porch of the mosque and all around the mosque is decorated with seven-colored tiles. This mosque has two porches, the north porch, which is built with a height of eight meters, and the south porch, which has no special use, was created to compare with the north porch. The arch on the south side of the porch has lost its symmetry due to the presence of two doors, one of which leads to the small room and the other leads to the garlands.
